She moved to Central Oregon in 1993 to pursue her nursing degree and be closer to family. Kathryn began her medical journey at Central Oregon Community College, where she completed her nursing program. She later earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Oregon Health & Science University and her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Gonzaga University.

Kathryn has over 28 years of healthcare experience across a variety of care settings, including emergency medicine, urgent care, and hospitalist medicine. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, she has served patients across the lifespan in both primary care and acute care settings.

Kathryn’s medical interests include preventive care, chronic disease management, and geriatric medicine. After working in acute care, she sees the importance of developing a relationship with her patients and emphasizes preventative health and working in collaboration with patients to help prevent acute exacerbations and hospitalization, and to optimize quality of life. She has a strong passion for helping patients make sustainable lifestyle changes to improve conditions such as obesity, diabetes, COPD, and heart failure.

Outside of work, Kathryn enjoys spending time with her family, especially her four grandchildren, as well as camping, traveling, attending concerts, and cheering on both college and professional football and baseball.
