Amro Elgeziry, MD grew up in Cairo, Egypt. He completed medical school at Ain Shams University College of Medicine. He practiced medicine in Egypt for a couple of years as a general practitioner. He completed his residency training at Samaritan Family Medicine residency program in Corvallis/Newport, Oregon, in June 2025. He chose family medicine as his specialty because he believes it offers a unique opportunity to improve the health and well-being of individuals and communities through trust and continuity of care.

Dr. Elgeziry’s professional interests include caring for all age groups, managing acute and chronic conditions, preventive medicine, joint injections and performing office-based procedures.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Elgeziry had a career as an Olympic athlete and represented team USA at the Olympic Games. He also served five years of active duty in the U.S. Army. When he is not at work, he enjoys running, hiking, skiing, traveling, and following sports.
