Camelia grew up in Ashland, Oregon. She completed both her Bachelor of Social Work (2014) and Master of Social Work (2019) at Portland State University. She is experienced with crisis intervention, as well as counseling people with chronic or serious health concerns.
Camelia is excited to join High Lakes Health Care in the primary care setting, to assist with meeting health goals. She acknowledges that mental health can have a significant role in promoting overall wellbeing.
Camelia is focused on the strengths of the patient, while also taking into account family patterns and other social systems. Camelia acknowledges that personal trauma can impact a client’s worldview, but also can be a source of resiliency and positive change.
Outside of clinic, Camelia enjoys spending time with her family, including her dog, Stevie. Camelia is an avid trail runner but when she’s not running, you’ll find her cooking, gardening, or reading.
