Kara has worked as a board-certified Nurse Practitioner since 2012, starting her career at Ponce Primary Care in Decatur, Georgia. She received her Nursing Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Kara also has a background in Athletic Training with an Exercise Science degree from Truman State University. Her professional interests include management of acute and chronic illness, mental health, diet, and health behavior. She believes it is important to have a strong working relationship with patients to best identify and help achieve their health goals.

Kara’s family includes a husband, and a young daughter and son. She enjoys animals, cycling, being active outside, climbing, hiking, gardening, and a plant based lifestyle.
