Elysia Churchman is a native Oregonian and grew up in Bend. She attended undergraduate school at the University of Redlands where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology and a minor in Communicative Disorders. Due to her interest in public health, Elysia pursued a Masters of Science degree in Global Medicine from the University of Southern California and then continued on to PA School at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ where she earned a Masters of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies.
Elysia returned to Bend in 2015 to be closer to family, and to enjoy the amazing outdoor lifestyle, while providing comprehensive medical care for the community she grew up in. She has practiced as a PA in Vascular Surgery and Gastroenterology, and is looking forward to joining the High Lakes Urgent Care team. She enjoys working collaboratively with patients to establish treatment plans tailored to their medical needs and lifestyle. With her public health background, she is very interested in patient education and preventative medicine.
Outside of work, Elysia enjoys hiking, snowboarding, yoga, paddle boarding, traveling and spending time with her husband, 2 young sons and 2 golden retrievers.
