Monica Giamellaro PA-C, feels privileged to practice medicine. She believes that patient care begins with listening, and she strives to treat patients as she would want her family members to be cared for.
Monica grew up in Anchorage, Alaska. She attended PA school at Cornell University in New York City where she received her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. She earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Wyoming with degrees in Health Science and Physiology. Monica has practiced as a PA in Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Orthopedics, and Occupational Health. She has extensive experience in diagnosis and management of acute illnesses and injuries/trauma. Prior to becoming a PA she worked as an EMT on ambulances in Colorado and was an analytical chemist doing nutrition research. Monica is a member of the Oregon Society of Physician Assistants and is active on its government affairs committee.
Outside of work, Monica loves being a Mom and spending time with her Husband and kids on the rivers and in the mountains of Oregon. She is passionate about nutrition, wellness, and exercise.
