Jeff is a native Oregonian who has lived in Bend since the mid 1990s. He attended the University of Puget Sound, where he studied business and played collegiate soccer. He redirected his career following graduation and ultimately attended the Physician Assistant program at Duke University school of medicine, earning a Masters degree in Health Sciences and Physician Assistant certificate. He has served the Central Oregon community since 2001, with most of his time as a clinical PA in urgent care. Jeff returned to school to earn his Doctor in Health Sciences in 2014, where he studied health care systems and leadership. He has spent several years in health care administration with focus on urgent care medicine. He has a high interest in developing smart systems for health care and exploring ways to increase efficiency and quality of health care delivered.
Jeff is married and has four boys. His wife, Katie is also a PA. Bend is the perfect town for their active family. They enjoy skiing, camping, mountain biking, trail running and attending youth sporting events. Jeff and his family also enjoy mission work, particularly in Uganda where they have traveled multiple times to provide medical care and support. Jeff is a board member for the Achon Uganda Children’s Fund (AUCF), an Oregon based non-profit which through coordinated effort with Ugandan citizens, has established a high quality medical clinic and maternity ward in an underserved area in Northern Uganda. He and his family plan to continue their relationships with the Ugandan communities they have served and hope to have many more adventures in Africa.
