Dr. Amanda Carlson is originally from Minnesota, and is thrilled to call Sisters, Oregon her new home since 2021. She is a graduate of University of Utah’s Family Nurse Practitioner Doctoral Program (DNP) and received summa cum laude honors and the Outstanding Doctor of Nursing Practice award.
Prior to obtaining her DNP degree, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Community Health and minor in Gerontology in 2009 and continued on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Amanda has been working as a healthcare professional since 2004 in various capacities.
She has a passion for evidence-based medicine and promoting health and wellness to help meet the needs of her patients. Amanda enjoys actively listening to what her patients have to say and it is very important to her that all medical decisions are made through shared-decision making between the patient and provider. She offers primary medical care to all ages.
When she is not in the clinic, Amanda likes hiking, mountain biking, traveling, stand-up paddle boarding, and camping with her husband Eric and two dogs Hazel and Mason.
