Dr. Jennifer (JB) Warton was raised in both Northern California and Bend and is a graduate of Bend High School. After graduating from Central Oregon Community College with her AA degree in 2000, she attended Seattle Pacific University where she received her BA in Biology in 2002. She attended Midwestern University in Chicago and received her medical degree in 2007.
She completed her pediatric residency training at Oregon Health and Sciences University (Doernbecher Children’s Hospital) in 2010. Dr. JB moved back to Bend after residency and has been practicing in Bend every since. In 2017 Dr. JB founded her own pediatric practice “Bend Kids Pediatrics” to better serve patients with a smaller practice and more personalized patient care. This vision aligned when she learned about High Lakes Health Care Pediatrics and joined the team in 2019.
Dr. JB was awarded “Bend’s Best Pediatrician” in 2017 by Bend Nest magazine.
Dr. JB chose pediatrics as a field because she loves kids. It’s simple. She values families and the relationship she has with patients and their parents and feels honored when parents trust her with their child’s health. She also loves pediatrics because whether it’s a magnatile creation, an inspired drawing, or a witty comment from a four-year-old child, she gets to laugh every day.
She is also passionate about social justice issues particularly those issues affecting our kids today. She has a big heart for street kids and has worked domestically and overseas addressing this issue.
At home, Dr. JB has a child with asthma, and as a result she has a special interest in treating allergies, asthma, and eczema.
Dr. JB loves the outdoors and spending time with her three young sons, practicing yoga, paddle boarding, fishing, traveling, skiing, snowboarding and more.
