Josh Brooks completed his undergraduate studies in health sciences with a focus in biology at James Madison University in his home state of Virginia. He utilized his EMT certification in ocean rescue, emergency medicine, and ski patrol prior to completing his Physician Assistant studies at Idaho State University in 2024.
Josh strives to provide a holistic approach to medicine through identifying health barriers and creating treatment plans best suited for each individual. His goal is to preserve patient wellness and quality of life by providing preventative healthcare alongside his team members at High Lakes. He values the strength of longlasting provider-patient relationships, group-decision making, evidence-based practice, and collaboration to provide exceptional care.
Josh brings a love for the outdoors and is eager to give back to the environment and community through volunteer work. Prior to moving to Bend, he organized river and park cleanups and volunteered at a community health clinic and as a first aid provider at Treefort Music Festival.
He and his wife share passions for backcountry skiing, mountain biking, surfing, and live music. In his free time, you will likely see him playing fetch or trying to keep up with his dog Huckleberry on a mountain bike trail.
